The history of “Textil Arcoíris”, better known as the Asociación de Mujeres Arcoíris in San Juan La Laguna is a testament to resilience, community vision, and spiritual transformation. It is a dynamic collective of Tz’utujil artisans dedicated to cultural preservation, economic empowerment, and ecological sustainability. Founded by visionary entrepreneur Isabela Candelaria YOTZ RAMIREZ, the association emerged during the pandemic in response to economic hardship and the need for dignified and independent livelihoods and would redefine the value of Indigenous women’s work.
